We meet every Tuesday at 6:30pm at Creator Lutheran Church (13250 SE Sunnyside Rd, Clackamas, OR 97015). Come check us out!

The first Saturday in March, Scouts across the country participate in a food drive to benefit their local food banks and pantries. Troop 5611 collected 243 pounds, and combined with our partner units Troop 611 and Pack 191, we delivered nearly NINE HUNDRED pounds of food!

Scouts from Troops 5611 and 611 start every meeting by packing bags of food for a program called Backpack Buddies, which "provides nutritious weekend food packages for children in need. The Backpack Buddies Program strives to provide weekend meals to North Clackamas students receiving free or reduced-price school lunches. The goal for supporting organizations is to serve students two meals per weekend for 37 weeks per year."

Our June campout took us to southern Oregon for 4 days where we stayed on beautiful Lake Selmac and spent much of our time on the water boating or fishing. On Sunday, we visited the Oregon Caves National Monument and took a 90 minute guided tour into the marble caves, which was the coolest!

Scouts from Troops 5611, 611, and Pack 191 worked together to beautify the Outdoor Classroom at Verne Duncan Elementary in preparation for their end of year 5th grade clap out! We cleared out 8 giant bags of weeds and invasive plants, and will be back in the fall to prepare the garden for planting. Troop 5611 has adopted VDE for the year and we look forward to being of service!

In April we spent a weekend on the beautiful Oregon Coast! Activities included:

We wrote letters of love together to brighten days for seniors in isolation all over the USA!
"The Letters Against Isolation Mission Statement: We fight senior loneliness one letter at a time. Through handwritten messages of love, hope, and joy, our volunteer community brings seniors connection and improves their mental and physical health."

Various Saturdays from May through October, we'll be setup there with a tent to meet everyone and chat about what we're up to!

At our meeting on May 12, 2026 the Scouts will be learning how to use a map and compass to find their way in the backcountry and navigate trails. The following week they will be using their new skills in the field with a fun Orienteering course at Mt. Tabor!

The Troop is headed on their very first backpacking trip this August! We'll be packing our gear and heading out to the backcountry to sleep under the stars and work on various Merit Badges, including Camping, Backpacking, Cooking, and Hiking!
Where should we go next year? Come help us decide!

Next summer (July 2027) our Troop will be traveling to the Florida Keys for a weeklong adventure! Scouts will paddleboard, ocean kayak, sail, boat, fish, snorkel coral reefs, learn about marine ecosystems, travel to Big Munson Island for an overnight adventure and visit historic Key West.
Every day is a new adventure, and we have room for you on our crew!

We're a Girls' BSA Troop based in Happy Valley, Oregon! Established January 2026, we are hoping to grow to best serve our community, and have fun while we're doing it!
